We have set up this Budget Cut Mitigation area on our PTO web site in order to communicate with and educate Stevens Creek parents with regard to the budget cut mitigation activities at Stevens Creek.

We want to thank all the parents that attended last week's PTO meeting. We truly appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedules to attend and hope that we were able to answer your questions. We have also posted the Idea List that was generated at the meeting. We strongly encourage you all to look at that list and let us know of any other ideas you have that we can add (please send ideas to sc@vangregory.com or louises@comcast.net). We will be looking at all these ideas and exploring their possibilities. >> Idea List

As well, the PTO is working to put together a parent survey that will allow you the opportunity to provide us with some input.

We will also be having discussions with Mrs. Franklin and the teachers to find out their needs and determine how we can best meet those needs.

Lastly, please check the CUSD website for any questions you might have regarding their budget and the cuts they are proposing. The cuts made at the District will be leading drivers of our mitigation strategy.

The next PTO meeting will be held on Thursday, February 11 @ 7:00pm in The Staff Lounge and we encourage you to attend!

We are in desperate need of noon yard duty supervisors. We do not have adequate supervision for 680 students. This is a volunteer or paid (8.15/hr) position and is critical to the safety of your children.
We are also seeking room parents for all your children's classes.

The Stevens Creek Parent Teacher organization is a non-profit, tax-exempt parent volunteer organization whose purpose is to:

promote the welfare of the children of Stevens Creek School;
enrich the educational opportunities for our children with funds, materials, services, activities, or equipment not provided by school district funds;
provide opportunities for teachers, parents and their children to get to know one another better in a friendly, informal atmosphere;
encourage voluntarism on the part of parents.
